If you like your country music with a little grit on it, you’re going to have a real good time with this one. Rick Dudley and Wheelhouse are an East Texas five-piece built around Rick’s strong, seasoned vocals and a sound the band describes as “Texas country with a little growl.” Rick is from Chandler, has been singing and writing for around 30 years, and the group pulls together a lineup with deep local experience on guitar, keys, bass, and drums.

They’re not just up there phoning in a few bar-band standards either. Wheelhouse mixes originals like One Day, Sometimes, and She Don’t Run with crowd-pleasers like Tennessee Whiskey, Broken Halos, You Should Probably Leave, and even a little Whiskey Myers flavor thrown in there too. So whether you like your country a little smoother, a little rougher, or somewhere in between, this ought to be one of those easy East Texas nights where you grab a drink, settle in, and stay awhile.
